Membership

As a full member of the Walwa Bush Nursing Centre, you and your family will be entitled to FREE accident and emergency and out patient treatment. Previously this service could cost you between $10 for a basic consultation up to $100 for a more complex or time consuming procedure. As a full member the only cost to you will be for drugs and an after hours surcharge if your treatment occurs after hours.

An assessment of needs usually occurs in the home before the service commences. Periodic assessment will occur and clients may request reassessment at any time.

As a member you will be entitled to free pathology collection, procedures (doctor will require Medicare payment as previously) accident and emergency, dressings etc etc.

COSTS

The only costs you will incur if you are a full member is the cost of any drugs that may be used in your treatment, and a $10 surcharge for out of hours treatments.

The membership fee covers all consumables i.e. dressings etc that are used at the time of your treatment, if you require dressings etc to take home, you can purchase those at cost price The hiring of equipment will incur a small fee.

NON MEMBERS

All non members of the Bush Nursing Centre will be charged a $30 flat fee for all out patient or accident and emergency treatment.

You can join by taking you completed membership form (available from the centre or download from here) and payment to the Walwa Bush Nursing Centre.

SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE WBNC

The Walwa Bush Nursing Centre provides a number of services aimed at improving our communities health, and helping when your are unlucky enough to become unwell.
